All About Me

Fall Newsletter 2005

My name is Sophie. I am the only child in my family. I have a cat named Frisky, who is three years old. I am eight years old and next January 8, I will be nine. My best friend is Maia, who is nine years old.

My favourite thing to do in my house is brushing and feeding my cat. I also like to draw, for example, things from Mother Nature, like flowers, butterflies, trees, bushes and leaves. I like arts and crafts because I like making my own things. Once I made an interesting collage with clay by sticking pictures from magazines on it. I love music, and I play the violin and I like to sing a lot, especially opera, in my own style.

My favourite animals are horses and cats, because they are beautiful and cute. I like going to High Park because of the nature, like the oak and maple trees and other specific trees and plants. I am a member of a nature club, and we go out into the park and feed the chickadees right from our hands. We also planted native plants.

I can’t wait when I have my own house and can get a dog because dogs are cute and a girl’s best friend.
