Fall Newsletter 2006

Hi, it’s me Marilyn! I am 9 years old. I have a mom, dad, brother, sister, and two cats. I live in Nepean, Ontario. I go to Knoxdale Public School and am in Grade 4. My favourite subjects are Music and Art. I like lots of sports, like ringette, baseball, basketball, and hockey. I also go to Saturday Chinese school, and take piano lessons.

This year in July my family went to the West Coast for our vacation. First we flew to Calgary, Alberta. Right after we picked up our van, we went straight to a dinosaur museum. It was totally cool!!! Then we went to Banff where we hiked a lot. At Lake Louise I swam in freezing cold water with my brother. BOY!!! it was cold. In Jasper we walked on a glacier. We also rode horses. My horse was named “Badger”. This was my favourite part of the trip. Next we took a ferry to Vancouver Island. There we hiked, saw many starfish, caves, kayaked, went boogie boarding and ate crab. YUM!!! We stayed at Tofino for a week. We flew home from Vancouver.
