Hi, Let me introduce myself.  My name is Emily Lock and I’m here to tell you about a great book series called ….

Magic Tree House by Mary Pope Osborne.

This is a great way to introduce young readers to the world of chapter books.

This book series is good for all ages.  I even read them still.  There are so far 40 books and more coming.

This book series is about 2 kids, Jack and Annie.  They live in Frog Creek, Pennsylvania and one summer a mysterious tree house appears in the woods.  Brother and sister Jack and Annie learn that the tree house is magic and can take you back in time in history!  There are 28 cool missions Jack and Annie do before they start the MERLIN MISSION (they are really cool).  Well, I think that gives a good review about the books so

HAPPY READING.

I like Egypt because of the civilization. Here is a story I wrote about ancient Egypt.

There once was a girl named Amy and one rainy afternoon Amy was exploring her back basement closet. Amy had never been in the basement closet before. Amy came across. Amy curiously opened a chest with really strange writing. A flash of green light sucked her in the chest and she landed outside a door on a tree. Then the door vanished. Amy was in ancient Egypt!  She was dressed in ancient Egyptian slave clothes. Amy walked around and heard a voice said, “Hey, you’re supposed to be working in the kitchen!”  So Amy spent the  night in the slaves’ room. Then something woke up Amy. “Psst! Come with me.”  “Who are you?”  Amy asked. “I am Oclara. Who are you?”  Amy said, “My name is Amy.”   “Follow me. Shh.”  So they went through a secret passage. “Here.” “So Why are we here Oclara?” “We are here to work!  The Pharaoh King Tut just died a unknown death. They have to help mummify the pharaoh.”

After Oclare and Amy put the pharaoh in his tomb to R.I.P. And then they got locked in the pyramid!  They went up to the king’s chamber and found food. They ate the food and then they spotted a crack. They could just fit in there! Then they saw a light. Oh no, tomb robbers!   So Amy and Oclare backed up. And then….! AAAAAAaaaaaaa!  They were sliding down the new fresh pyramid. The sun shone on their eyes once again then Ow! They landed. Oclare  saw a guard, “Oh Sir, please open up the pyramid. There are robbers!”  But the guard did not.

So Amy and Oclare had one more chance. So they went to the new Pharaoh and said, “Please oh wonderful Pharaoh open the pyramid. Amy and I, Oclare saw a moving light in the pyramid. We think it could be tomb robbers. And they said this, ‘Rece, you take the gold and me and Axe will take the treasure.’  And we saw men’s shadows.”

So afterwards they opened the pyramid and they found the robbers and they were never ever seen again. And Amy and Oclare talked and then Oclare said, “I don’t live here. I live in the year 2006 and the Chinese New Year is the Dog. “So do I,” said Amy, “Hey, want to swap email addresses?” said Oclare. And they swapped email addresses and found the doors. And Amy and Oclare still remain friends today.
