Summer Newsletter 2006

Hi!  My name is Abigail. I live in Hamilton, Ontario. I am 9 years old. My mom Diane and I adopted my sister in 2003. Her name is Charlotte. She used to be sweet and quiet but now she’s an annoying little brat. A while ago I had an MRI on my knee because I had a knee injury from gymnastics. The machine looked like a giant toilet paper roll!  I had to lie on a bed and I went right through the middle!   It made weird sounds like a jackhammer working in the ground. Even though it was noisy, I fell asleep in the middle of it because it was so boring. It showed that I had a tendonitis so I had to go to Physio. I had 3 competitions this past year and had bronze, silver and gold ribbons and medals. My favourite event was bars but my least favourite was vault. In June, I decided to quit gymnastics. Instead, I am going to do jazz / acro, a type of dance that mixes jazz dance with gymnastics.

Well here is the secret:  Bob kept telling me to write this story but I kept forgetting to do so – so a year later, here it is at last!
