Zoë Brown traveled with her parents, Janet and Randy, to China
to adopt her little sister, Tian. She provided this report.

My Trip to China:
Going to China was fun and exciting. The airplane ride was long and boring.
When we landed in Beijing and got off the plane it was extremely polluted. The
hotel in Hangzhou was really pretty. I liked walking around the paths. It was
exciting when my sister Tian arrived. At first, my parents didn't think it was
the same kid. She was very small, skinny and unresponsive. Now she is very health,
happy and almost walking.
The food wasn't very good. I basically lived on rice.
In one restaurant, the food was piled three layers high. Anything I didn't like
a guy named Teddy ate for me.
In Beijing, I bought thirteen beanie babies.
The
hotel was huge; we were on the twentieth floor. I got sick one day and had to
miss the trip to the Great Wall. Luckily, Karolee stayed with the baby and me
and she helped me with my homework.
This was a trip that I will never forget.
I'm really glad my parents let me come along. I'm very glad to live in Canada.
There aren't nearly so many people, cars or bicycles. In China it was scary
just to cross the street. I'm glad we were able to get Tian. I know she'll be
a lot happier here.
