Joshua’s Story

JoshuaWe went to the City of Changsha, in  the Province if Hunan to get my little sister Heidi.  We were there for five days and one day we visited a Chinese family on a Rice Farm. When we arrived to the Rice Farm we went inside their Farm house and sat on little seats and the family served us tea. After, we saw their bedrooms which had very thin mattresses on the beds.  We also looked in their kitchen which was very dark.  We went outside and I could smell the pigs so I didn’t go too close to the pig pen. It was very hot that  day especially when we walked to the rice paddies. On the path there was lots of  rubble, puddles and weeds.  There were many rice paddies with lots of water and small green plants. I thought it was a bit tropical with vines and bamboo. Soon,  Heidi started to get a bit cranky and hot so we made our way back to the bus. On the way out we saw a lady chopping a huge pile of herbs in the courtyard. I love my little sister very much and I like it when we read books together.
