Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Xi'an
We went to the Big White Goose Pagoda Friday afternoon. I didn't need a ticket to get in but my sister didbecause she's older. Before we got in Maria, our guide, said that there was also a Small Wild Goose Pagoda not too far away. When we got in we found out the pagoda was 7 stories high.
We climbed it and counted 248 steps. We looked out the window on every floor. It was nice. When we went down, it was easier than the other pagoda in Hang Zhou because the steps were even and there were rails to hold onto. My dad had to duck at each floor because the roof was not high enough.
We saw a lot of Buddhist statues and monks near the pagoda. We also saw the monuments where the ashes and bones of other monks were. We was the laughing Buddha and a golden one. We took a picture rubbing the Buddha's stomach for luck. We saw birds in cages and a monk feeding them. Maria also showed us the bell tower and the drum tower. It was a great day.
