The ShangHai Story

In Shanghai there was tons to see. At the beginning of our trip we went on the fastest train in the world. It is called the Maglav. The Maglav was built in 2002. It went 431 km an hour when we were on it.  Yulin told us that the Maglav train can go over 500 km an hour; but we didn't go that fast.

Another thing Yulin mentioned was that it took us 7 minutes to get from the airport to the city centre, but it took our bus about an hour. We had to wait for the bus for a long time. When we were waiting we looked over the balcony and saw alot of taxies.

When we got to our hotel it was very big. The hotel was called the Shanghai Dasha; it was built in 1936. That night we had our first Chinese supper together. It was very good and I tried everything! After supper we went to the Bund tunnel. It was a tunnel filled with lights and sounds. On the inside there was a tram. We rode that all the way through the tunnel. I took lots of pictures of the wonderful lights inside. It was a very fun experience to see what China looked like. Now, I have an amasing story to tell everyone.
