In the afternoon we went to the 6 Harmony Pagoda. The Pagoda is over 200 years old. It consists of 13 floors, but from the outside it looks like 7 storeys high. It appears to have 7 storeys because it looks 7 windows high, but not every floor had a window. The steps were made of stone, very steep and uneven.

I can’t believe my mom actually carried me up to the 13th floor and back down when I was 13 months old. Now ten years later I climbed up and down by myself, but it was a struggle. My whole family was tired by the time we came back down.

There was a pole in the centre going all the way up to support the whole building. From the top floor you could see the bell tower that is used to tell sailors that there are strong winds. I think it was a lot of fun and can’t wait to go again when I am even ol
