A Restrospective
Meili, Jade & Jenna-Lee are the first three children adopted with FOI. Six years later, we asked the three youngsters to talk to us about themselves.Meili lives in New Brunswick, Jade in British Columbia and Jenna-Lee in Manitoba.
Meili, 7½,
writes from Fredericton NB:
"I like gymnastics because it's a lot of fun and you get to go on the trampoline and you get to have "pit" fights too. I have three more things that I really love, which are piano, Chinese dance and Chinese language. With piano, you get to play solos at the concert and duets. I really love to perform Chinese dance for my parents and to wear costumes. I want to speak Chinese so I can speak with my friends and some day go back to China."
Jade, 8
lives and plays hockey in Lake Country, BC. She writes:
“What I like best is hockey. What I like about it is there’s lots of action while the players are playing on the ice. When you play you have to wear lots of equipment. I really enjoy hockey and being on a team.”

My bestest thing to do in the whole wide world is gymnastics. I love to do roundoffs, trampoline, pike jumps, tuck jumps and straddle jumps. And best of all, I like to do gymnastics with my friends. I will try out for the gymnastics team this fall!”
